ROCK CHIC

Friday is just around the corner, which means it's time to dress down and get ready to party! I've worn these leopard pants in a previous post, where I paired them with a white shirt for a smart office look. This time, I chose to wear them with a ruched black top that has an asymmetric neckline to add more edge to the outfit.  For accessories, I opted for my beloved stingray Chanel Boy bag and these Giuseppe Zanotti booties. I've had these booties for years, and I used to wear them all the time. However, I've neglected them for the past 2 years, but it's time for them to shine again as I think they go so well with this rock chick-ish ensemble. Enjoy the upcoming weekend!

PAINT THE TOWN RED

I love bold colors, and I wear bold colors to the office pretty often. To offset the strong color, I'll opt for simple designs and clean cuts. I like the loose fit of this dress, which makes it look more relaxed rather than over the top, which can often happen with bold hues. The subtle pleats at the front and folds at the back of the dress gives it a slightly origami feel. Definitely a conversation starter!

SOFT ELEGANCE

Pale pink - a timeless color that exudes romance and elegance. Although it is a color that never goes out of style, it is once again brought into the limelight as various designers showcased pale pink in their Spring 2014 collection in NYFW. I bought this dress about 3 years ago from the Max & Co. store in Siena. Its timeless design has accompanied me through these years, and will continue to do so for the years to come. That is the beauty of buying a piece of well made garment in a classic, elegant style. Here, I wore them with my new shoes from Valentino, probably the most feminine and womanly shoes I've ever owned. Have a great week ahead!

SUMMER BLOOM

The hot summer weather brings to mind fields of blooming flowers. Naturally, I dug out this floral top that I've had for ages. I typically wear this with shorts and slippers, whether when I'm roaming around the city on a summer vacation or just for a day out at a beach, but that doesn't mean I can't wear it in the office! I keep the outfit casual and easy by wearing it with a pair of dark red pants and completing the look with nude colored accessories. The top is so light and airy, it's the perfect thing for this fiery weather.

GET GIRLY

Girly outfits are not usually my type of thing, but I couldn't resist picking up this mustard skirt when I was in Tokyo. Guess I got inspired by all the kawaii dressing in Japan! I also love how this navy blue top works the lace details in without looking overly feminine. To complete the outfit, I added a pair of sleek patent peep toes to make the ensemble look more grown up.

NOT SO NUDE

Dressing up from head to toe in nude shades doesn't mean we have to look dull. In fact, it's one of the easiest way to put together a classy look. Good quality, classic nude pieces are worthy investment items that can last you for years. Look out for details in texture that differentiates it from the rest and complete the look with a simple yet elegant necklace. I also love these nude shoes with spikes which helps to  jazz up and add some edge to the ensemble!

DUSTY BLUE TWIRL

While I love a pencil skirt for a sharp office look, it's also nice to sometimes lighten up with a flare piece. This dusty blue skirt has lots of movement and has attracted a number of compliments from my colleagues. I like wearing this with a white silk top and smartening it up with a soft textured black jacket. The overall look is light and airy, but not too casual. I always feel an extra bounce in my steps when I'm wearing this skirt!
