LEATHER FOCUS

Leather is not the most obvious thing to wear in this tropical climate, but with fall and winter collection everywhere, it's hard to ignore this luxurious material. I got this fitted and buttery soft leather top in a pale pink colour, a divergence from the usual black for leather clothing. It may be simple, but it certainly catches people's attention, as I have been asked by a couple of people the first time I wore this. To channel a quiet elegant look, I paired this with a olive coloured pencil skirt. Have a great start to the week!

SOFT ELEGANCE

Pale pink - a timeless color that exudes romance and elegance. Although it is a color that never goes out of style, it is once again brought into the limelight as various designers showcased pale pink in their Spring 2014 collection in NYFW. I bought this dress about 3 years ago from the Max & Co. store in Siena. Its timeless design has accompanied me through these years, and will continue to do so for the years to come. That is the beauty of buying a piece of well made garment in a classic, elegant style. Here, I wore them with my new shoes from Valentino, probably the most feminine and womanly shoes I've ever owned. Have a great week ahead!

LADY X GRUNGE

Who doesn't love a Chanel tweed jacket? It's one of those items that elevates your fashion (and social) status and qualifies as an heirloom item that you can pass down to your daughters and future generations. While it continues to stay on my wish list for the foreseeable future, I got myself a much more affordable tweed item in the meantime. This T-shirt is constructed of light tweed at the front and finished with plain light cotton at the back, making it extremely wearable in the hot and humid climate of Singapore. To add an interesting twist to the outfit, I decided to complete the ensemble with a leather pencil skirt to play with different textures and toughen up the look.
