TAME THE WILD

Leopard prints are often associated with party and fun. However, they can also be one of your wardrobe staples for work. The key is in what you coordinate them with. Pair leopard prints with formal pieces such as a structured jacket or a classy pencil skirt and they will add some oomph to an otherwise boring outfit. Here, I chose to wear a pair of skinny leopard print pants with a crisp white shirt. The unique japanese tailoring of the shirt brings an additional dimension to the top, which balances the form fitting bottom. Leopards can certainly look smart too.

SIMPLY FAR FROM BORING

There are many a days where we find that our inspiration has deserted us and we just do not know what to wear to work without looking the same way we did yesterday. The easiest solution is to reach out for a one-piece in the wardrobe. Contrary to popular belief, a solid one-color dress can in fact be a stand out piece. Ruching and twists bring about an unexpected element to an otherwise plain T shirt dress, decorated with a shoulder cut-out which adds just a slight tinge of sexiness that can bring you straight from work to an evening date. If you work in a really conservative office, just throw a jacket or cardigan over the dress during office hours.

WHAT THIS BLOG IS ABOUT

Hello guys! First and foremost, welcome and thank you for visiting my blog. Like lots of working women, I spend 5 days a week working in an office in the central business district area. What this means is that I'm in my work clothes 2.5x that of when I'm in my casual ones. Given that we're seen in our office attire the majority of the time, I feel that we should pay some attention to how we look at work. I can understand how going to work everyday is nowhere near our favorite to-do list for most of us, but dressing up can do wonders to dressing up our moods for work! If we look good, and we feel good, our spirits will naturally be lifted.

While I see a handful of well dressed women in the CBD area, there're also plenty of us who still dress very conservatively at work. I believe that there is much potential to improve on the dressing and thereby appearance of these conservative dressers. If we are willing to step out of our comfort zone a little, dressing up for work can in fact be heaps of fun. Conversely, there is also a group of females at the other end of the spectrum who may be a bit too experimental in putting together their work attire, some of which I feel may not be the most appropriate for wearing to the office. I'll also like to discuss these work fashion faux pas and I hope that you can share your thoughts on these issues.

I'll be putting up 2 work outfit posts a week and if you like it, please do let me know! If you feel less than enthusiastic about my dressing, please also share your comments so that I can improve.

I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
